compact secondary substations

Compact Secondary Substations (CSS)

(E- House)

1. SAFETY RULES

Please read these rules before using the device and store them. Installation, initial start-up and operation of the substation have to be done by qualified personnel, trained in use regulations and standarts. Following the safety rules:

• Disconnect mains! • Prevent reconnection! • Test for absence of harmful voltages! • Ground and short circuit! • Cover or close off nearby live parts!

2. ADVANTAGES OF SYSTEMS

• When compared with concrete all types compact substations, they provide easiness for transportation and mounting because of being lighter.

• They can be designed for the customer's needs according to the parts which are used within.

• Isolation can be ensured by using panels in need of customer.

• Stations of big dimensions can be established thanks to their modular form and prefabricate feature.

• Mobile sheet all type compact substations can be manufactured by using guide ways and trailers

3. HOUSING

Properties of Construction • The housing type of compact substation is made from bended steel sheet construction. Basement Material : Support structure steel sheet 5mm, Oil paint.  Body Material : * Steel sheet 2mm Pre-galvanized (>225g/m). * Surface treatment: Using Electrostatic powder coating plant. * A coating thickness >70 μ is achieved. * Zinc and powder coat: Highest corrosion protection. * Standard paint colour: Light grey ( RAL 7035)

• All housing fitting are resistant against corrosion (stainless steel)

• The substation, all types compact transformer stations may be transported and lifted completely equipped. The station is lifted via the base pan on the lifting lugs.

• The doors are protected by rain lids and they have metal swivelling levers.

• MV compartment may be fitted with lights, switched by door switches.

• Cable - connection compartment is accessible on the connection side after removal of panels, for mounting cables.

PROTECTION CLASS  Protection class of MV, Transformer and LV compartments: IP 31- 65

VENTILATION In order to ensure natural ventilation sufficient number of louvers will be opened. Filtering will be implemented to prevent dust entering. 2 thermostatic and high flow rated fans will be mounted, which will operate in the case of excessive rise of the temperature, to protect the system.

CABLING Connection between transformer and MV switchgears will be prefered suitable to size of transformer power. Connection between transformer and LV Panel will be prefered suitable to supplied max. current.(Each Phase) Transformer and MV switchgears will be done with compatible cable terminal caps. Cables in the compact substation will be inside of cable tray.

GROUNDING Grounding of the compact substation will be implemented with copper bus-bar, grounding of MV switchgears , transformer and LV Panel will be implemented by NYAF cable.

HUMIDITY Humidity sensation device and humidity prevention device that will be chosen according to volume of compact substation will be mounted to avoid moisture in the compact substation .

4. PREPARING FOR SHIPMENT

ROUTINE TESTS The IEC 60439-1 & IEC 60439-2 routine tests of all panels are performed by our specially trained team of specialists, the results are registered on the panel control form

MECHANICAL INSPECTION Number of panels and dimensions, device labeling, device compatibility in layout, codification, system enumerations, covers, mechanical operation of doors, screw / bolt tightness of connections, creepage distances and isolating intervals checks are performed.

EARTHINGCONTINUITY INSPECTION It is verified that at different parts of panel's exposed conductor and incoming terminal are bind effectively and the conducting protection level does not exceed the 0,1 Ω.

HIGH VOLTAGE INSPECTION Voltage value of 2500 V high voltage test set to 10 seconds to verify that the current system does not exceed the value of 0.1 A.

ELECTRICAL INSPECTION The switch equipment operation inspection is done by connecting the panel to the electric source and the equipment's (such as multimeters, etc) parameters are adjusted. After the test is done, in order to ensure traceability a serial identification number card is mounted on the appropriate panel, labeled, and a test control form is paced into the project pocket on the panel's door.

DOCUMENTATION The following documents are placed into the project pocket of panel: a- Single Line Diagram of the panel b- Device placement layout c- Panel view drawing d- List of used materials e- Test report related to the panel f- The user manual for measuring units if applicable.

PACKAGING AND SHIPMENT Our panels are packed by wrapping into the nylon packaging to protect against water and dampness according to the conditions of transportation of the shipment area. During packing the boards names are written on the plastic packaging. For the panels ready to be shipped abroad, a packing check list is prepared indicating size, weight and number of the crate. The Quality Assurance Specialist approves panels to be shipped, ensuring conformity to the required quality standards.
